Description
Immunology team seeks a candidate to actively participate in hands-on preclinical drug discovery research. Role requires strong in vivo skills, multitasking, and effective teamwork; motivation, organization, and flexibility are essential.

Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate novel immunomodulatory strategies (genetic medicines and cell-based platforms), translating mechanistic insights into testable hypotheses and advancing concepts toward preclinical/clinical development.
- Independently design, develop, and execute in vivo and in vitro experimental protocols; generate robust, consistent, high-quality data; provide clear scientific documentation.
- Manage multiple projects with scientific rigor, data integrity, and reproducibility to support strategic decisions.
- Present results in team meetings, departmental forums, and governance presentations.
- Supervise, train, and mentor research associates, as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications
- MS with 6+ years relevant experience, or BS with 8+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech R&D.
- Prior industry experience strongly preferred; Ph.D. (optional) with training in immunology, cell biology, or related discipline.

Additional Skills/Preferences
- Extensive experience designing, executing, and documenting in vivo studies, including IACUC protocol preparation/management.
- Expertise in humanized immune system mouse models and in vivo techniques: mouse handling (rats a plus), multiple dosing routes (IV/IP/SC/PO, etc.), blood collection (tail vein/submandibular/cardiac puncture), tissue collection and necropsy, flow cytometry data analysis.
- Hands-on expertise in human primary immune cell culture; ex vivo sample processing/analysis; complex cell-based assay development and screening (multicolor flow cytometry, RNA-seq, scRNA-seq library prep, MSD, ELISA, etc.).
- Detail-oriented, effective communicator; strong organizational skills; ability to manage competing priorities.

Work Authorization
- Must be authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly will not provide support/sponsorship for work authorization/visas.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Anticipated wage: $138,000 - $224,400.
