Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and oversee experiments for technical development and scale-up of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) drug product processes.
- Independently drive LNP platform science; identify knowledge gaps and translate formulation science into robust, scalable manufacturing processes.
Basic Requirements:
- PhD, MS, or BS in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biology, or related field (PhD: 0β5 yrs; MS: 7+ yrs; BS: 10+ yrs).
- Hands-on formulation and process development in carrier-based or complex drug product systems (e.g., LNPs, liposomes, emulsions, microspheres, advanced delivery platforms).
- Working knowledge of fluid mixing dynamics, particle self-assembly, and surface chemistry; characterization methods (e.g., DLS, Ribogreen, Cryo-EM).
- Track record of independently designing/executing experiments; proactively identify knowledge gaps and propose structured plans.
Additional Preferences:
- Experience with filtration technologies (e.g., TFF hollow fibers, flat sheets, depth filtration).
- Experience in a matrixed CMC environment with cross-functional collaboration (manufacturing, analytical development, formulation).
- Strong oral/written communication; present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Organized, collaborative; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands/Travel:
- Lab environment; travel <5%.
