Purpose: Heart Recovery is seeking a driven, results-oriented Surgical Sales โ€œHeart Teamโ€ Specialist (field-based) to support cardiac surgeons and heart failure cardiologists across the US and enable adoption of the Impella portfolio.

Responsibilities:
- Train, educate, and support combined CT/Heart Failure programs on proper Impella use.
- Provide customer immersion (including patient selection input and surgical support) across 5.5 sites to optimize outcomes.
- Deliver device expertise/support on Impella to drive adoption beyond initial launch responsibilities.
- Support surgical implant/unit readiness, including training and education at existing sites.
- Collaborate with Surgical Leadership, Training, Engineering, Marketing, Professional Education, Clinical, and R&D.
- Participate in on-call support rotation.
- Maintain customer contact to assess clinical/educational needs.
- Perform device training on the full Impella device line-up.
- Serve as an expert on durable, acute, and hemodynamic device landscape and best practices.
- Build relationships with strategic partners and key opinion leaders; call points include cardiac surgeons, heart failure cardiologists, OR teams, intensivists, perfusionists, and ICU/step-down units.

Requirements:
- BSN: 5+ years direct patient care in a cardiac transplant/ECMO/LVAD center CVICU or direct at-the-table CVOR experience.
- Advanced degree: 3+ years direct patient support in a cardiac transplant/ECMO/LVAD center CVICU or CVOR.
- Direct patient management experience (excluding Abiomed field clinical) in: CTICU caring for post-op tMCS (e.g., Impella, CentriMag, ECMO) or durable MCS (e.g., HeartMate, HeartWare, Berlin Heart), or direct CVOR assisting.
- Cardiac surgery/OR protocol confidence; willingness to travel; availability for emergent patient care call.
- Teamwork; valid US driverโ€™s license; comply with state/federal medical device regulations.

Preferred:
- RNFA/NP/Surgical PA/Critical Care PA or Perfusionist licensure; 5+ years cardiac surgery/perfusion.
- Hands-on Impella support; ECMO patient care experience.
- Clinical demonstrations/trainings; ability to advance the sales process; strong physician advocacy/interpersonal skills.

Compensation/Benefits (if eligible): Base pay $125,000 + sales incentive; eligible for company car via FLEET.
