Advanced Software Development Engineer

Role: Advanced Software Development Engineer focused on designing and supporting custom software applications for manufacturing process development, emphasizing scalable solutions for production environments. Responsibilities include collaborating with R&D, process development, manufacturing, automation, quality, and IT teams to develop software for process monitoring, data collection, workflow execution, and integration with manufacturing systems such as PLCs and IoT platforms. The role involves building applications for real-time operations, dashboards, analytics, and AI/ML solutions, along with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring cybersecurity, and supporting lifecycle management from prototype to scalable deployment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields; minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing software, automation, or related technical environments. Preferred skills include experience with programming languages like C#, .NET, Python, Java, API/system integrations, and developing for smart manufacturing, digital process development, or industrial automation. The position requires on-site work at least four days a week in Woodbury, MN, with up to 10% travel. Experience with software lifecycle practices, troubleshooting complex issues, and strong communication skills are advantageous. The role supports digital manufacturing, process development, and industrial automation within a biopharma-relevant, production-focused environment.
