Position Summary:
The Advanced Research Associate executes experiments and produces batches of low to moderate complexity. Independently prioritizes work, analyzes data, drafts SOPs, troubleshoots technical issues, and ensures laboratory and equipment functionality. Collaborates across groups and contributes to process improvements while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and perform experiments or produce batches of low to moderate complexity.
- Compile, analyze, and report on data.
- Make decisions based on experimental data or results.
- Communicate effectively across groups and sites.
- Perform routine laboratory maintenance and ensure proper equipment function.
- Collaborate with facilities or service providers as needed.
- Draft and revise SOPs.
- Propose and implement process improvements.
- Independently troubleshoot issues based on prior experience.
- Utilize internal databases effectively.
- Collaborate on projects of low to moderate complexity.
- Participate in training employees.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Masterโs degree with up to 2 years relevant experience; OR bachelorโs degree with 2โ5 years; OR associate degree with 7+ years.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong technical knowledge; ability to troubleshoot routine issues.
- Knowledge of multiple laboratory processes or products.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to act independently on routine assignments.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks.

- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Standard laboratory environment; occasional travel; typical business hours.
- Lift laboratory materials; stand for extended periods; perform repetitive lab motions.
