Role Summary

Advanced Research Associate at Bio-Techne/Asuragen, supporting the Molecular Controls and Custom Reagents manufacturing group. The role involves designing, developing and manufacturing Armored RNA and DNA targets and other molecular control reagents under cGMP standards to support clinical testing, diagnostic products, and internal product development. You will lead projects, perform tasks with minimal supervision, and collaborate across teams to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the success of the Controls Manufacturing business by delivering projects and products to clients timely and with high accuracy.
  • Act as project lead for multiple projects.
  • Perform assigned tasks and report results with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate effectively within the team, department, and cross-functionally.
  • Manage daily laboratory tasks such as inventory and maintenance.
  • Manage ERP system including product structure, work orders, and inventory maintenance.
  • Cross-train to learn basic production and quality control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to developing and manufacturing FDA-regulated products.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Required: A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent Associate’s degree with relevant experience) in biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or related field; a strong track record of independence, innovation, and productivity; excellent written and verbal communication; a minimum of 4 years of laboratory experience and/or ERP experience; critical thinking approach to problem-solving.
  • Preferred: Highly driven with strong work ethics; commitment to customer service and satisfaction; collaborative and approachable; good communicator with strong presentation skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; strong time management with ability to manage multiple projects; learning-oriented and quick to grasp new concepts; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet; previous ERP and laboratory experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences-related disciplines (or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience).
