Role Summary

The responsibilities of this position are to monitor, maintain and assist in the scheduling of new products, kit components, antibodies, proteins, enzyme, flow, and other high-complexity products. Coordinate with production and inventory systems to manage backorders, batch records, and supply planning, while supporting process improvements and SOP updates. Collaborate on product design, MRBs, projects, and planning meetings, and assist with annual inventory and cost-saving initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule fills for new products, enzymes, kit components (including new bulk lots of existing items) utilizing multiple databases and Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Schedule to meet filling, capping and labeling capacities while prioritizing backordered and critical products.
  • Monitor, schedule and update the backorder pages in ICA and AX
  • Reviewing and approval of batch records for release (including CofA review)
  • Address product availability inquiries
  • Assist with the annual physical inventory process
  • Assist with AX job management, starting jobs, pulling pick list supplies, documentation and closing jobs
  • Assist in the retail bottling, capping, and labeling of retail products
  • Management, coordination, and planning of special projects, fills, relabels, etc.
  • Identify and execute initiatives for continuous process improvement and troubleshoot problems.
  • Update SOPs and order supplies as needed
  • Record and maintain metrics for the department
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues of moderate/high complexity independently.
  • Product Planning of moderate/high complexity
  • Participation and collaboration in MRBs, change plans, planning meetings, kit and product design meetings, etc.
  • Manage and order supplies, OEM and raw materials.
  • Train and mentor other planners and act as a SME for the planning team.
  • Collaborate and assist multiple departments within the organization.
  • Demonstrates EPIC values in daily work
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Handbook and follows guidelines regarding safety as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals in accordance to the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned and assist supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (AA degree plus APICS certification with a minimum of 3+ years of related experience or a master’s degree).
  • Required: Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively; attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and communicate effectively.
  • Preferred: Experience in an ERP environment; Lean and/or Six Sigma training/experience; previous leadership experience; working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
