Advanced Product Engineer

Role: Advanced Product Engineer within 3M's Aerospace & Defense business, focusing on developing and qualifying materials such as sealants, adhesives, and films for aerospace applications. Responsibilities include leading initiatives to improve product quality, reduce costs, support new product launches, and manage change projects across the product lifecycle. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to support existing products, customer complaint resolution, and process understanding. Requirements: Bachelor's degree; 3+ years in product or process engineering, preferably in aerospace or regulated markets; experience with curable materials, coatings, or radiation/extrusion processes; knowledge of material qualification, safety, and reliability in regulated environments. Preferred: advanced degrees (MS/PhD) in Materials, Polymer, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering; 5+ years industry experience; familiarity with aerospace regulations. Work setup: On-site at Maplewood, MN, with up to 10% domestic/international travel. No relocation assistance; must have legal work authorization.
