Role Summary

The Adjuvant Tech 1 is an integral part of our Adjuvant team responsible for our Phibro Vaccines Omaha (PVO) office in Omaha, NE. The Adjuvant Tech 1 will perform all tasks related to the manufacture of adjuvant products, learn aseptic techniques, comply with SOPs and regulatory documents, operate basic laboratory equipment, and work in a safe, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate records.
  • Equipment: Operate colloid mill; disassemble, clean and sanitize equipment; perform measurements with scales and glassware; monitor temperatures; operate autoclave to sterilize equipment, product, and ingredients.
  • SOPs: Understand and follow all SOPs; apply proper housekeeping techniques; follow dress, gowning, and PPE policies.
  • Process: Familiarity with production and process flow; proper staging and storage of supplies and equipment; learn terminology in Adjuvant Manufacturing; understand emulsion chemistry/technology; practice proper aseptic technique.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Scientific Discipline and/or five years in a relevant production setting
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English; basic math and metric skills
  • Basic mechanical skills; ability to lift up to 50 lbs to shoulder height
  • Minimum of one year experience in a laboratory/production environment
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based applications
  • Decision making: communicate questionable issues to supervisor; follow directions; identify process anomalies/errors
  • Preferred: Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s Degree in Scientific Discipline
  • Preferred: Experience with colloid milling and emulsions
