Senior Scientist – Protein Engineering – ADC Development: Organic and Conjugation Chemist
Responsibilities:
- Design, synthesize, purify, and characterize novel organic linkers, peptides, and payloads for antibody drug conjugates (ADCs).
- Design, synthesize, purify, and characterize antibody drug conjugates for therapeutic discovery.
- Review, analyze, and interpret scientific data and results; provide regular updates and documentation/communication on project results.
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree specializing in organic chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, or medicinal chemistry; OR
- Master’s degree and 3 years of laboratory experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of laboratory experience.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
- Postdoc or 2 years of synthetic chemistry experience.
- Experience synthesizing and purifying ADC linkers and payloads.
- Experience with bioconjugation; peptide synthesis and purification.
- Strong understanding of structural determination using NMR and MS; proficiency with chromatography methods (e.g., HPLC, RP HPLC, ion exchange, size exclusion chromatography).
- Good lab practices with attention to safety.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work comfortably in a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
