Role Summary

Associate Director, Market Access Engagement (Oncology Practices) is a key account management role responsible for executing market access strategies related to product access, distribution, pricing, discounting, and contracting for top community oncology practices, dedicated cancer institutes, and oncology GPOs. The role serves as the Market Access field lead for assigned key accounts and collaborates with cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance. This remote and field-based position requires overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Account Business Goals
    • Execute B2B engagement for assigned products with site-of-care leaders, C-Suite, procurement, and financial leaders across identified key accounts
    • Support optimal product access through contracting aligned to strategy
    • Lead structured B2B discussions in assigned accounts and provide reactive support to cross-functional teams for Market Access discussions
  • Effectively Communicate and Collaborate with Ecosystem Partners (e.g., Customer Engagement, Novartis Patient Support, Field Medical)
    • Optimize relationships and collaboration with ecosystem partners
    • Share insights on customer experience and suggest process improvements
    • Provide meaningful insights into market dynamics or competitor activities
  • Ethics and Compliance
    • Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and ensure others do the same

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
  • Required: Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, including account management, pricing/contracting, patient services or market access roles
  • Required: Experience in a matrixed organization and leading without formal reporting authority
  • Required: Experience operating in a highly complex market with operational interdependencies; strong market access acumen (formulary decisions, inventory management, clinical pathways, contracting, GPO performance and pull-through, pre-approval delivery, etc.)
  • Required: Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative environment and manage multiple tasks without formal direction

Desirable Requirements

  • Oncology experience preferred
