Role Summary
The role focuses on enabling improved decision-making at Novartis by leveraging data and analytics to generate actionable insights that drive business growth. It supports field operations through brand-level evaluations and analyses to empower field teams and optimize territory coverage. Located in East Hanover, NJ with travel up to 15%.
Responsibilities
- Execute a systematic evaluation of the effectiveness of Novartis field teams at the brand level to achieve strategic goals.
- Analyze internal field force studies and surveys to uncover pain points and drivers of success.
- Conduct brand-level analyses (e.g., NBRx, TRx, SF, HCP prescribing activity, NVS/competitor share, key trends).
- Provide analytics on KOL engagement and field force activity to support multiple functions (Medical, NPS, Access, CE).
- Analyze sample shipment and utilization data to inform sample distribution decisions at HCP and account level.
- Assess field force adherence to internal tool recommendations, comparing high vs low adopters.
- Identify opportunities to optimize routes and schedules to maximize time with customers.
Education
- A bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Data Analytics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry with product launches.
- Significant experience in analytics, data science, or related field within pharma/healthcare.
- Proven ability to execute brand-level evaluations and provide actionable insights.
- Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting complex datasets.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to stakeholders.
- Experience with SQL, Python, R, or similar analytics tools.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical market, trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Medical, NPS, Access, Commercial).
- Strong problem-solving and proactive opportunity identification.
- Experience in optimizing field operations and territory management.
