Associate Director, Field Marketer (East-Rare Genetic Disease)

The impact you will make:

The Field Marketer, Rare Genetic Disease (RGD) Marketing will report to the Director of US HCP Marketing. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be highly collaborative. The Associate Director, Field Marketing will engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Centers of Excellence managing classical hematology. They will gather insights to shape brand strategy and serve as the liaison between marketing initiatives and KOLs. This role is field-based.

What you will do:

KOL Management

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with KOLs in our industry.
  • Gather insights from KOLs about market and product to inform marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Support and participate in cross-functional collaboration for KOL engagement across HCP, Payer, Medical, among others.
  • Support identification of and serve as the liaison with KOLs for approved commercial efforts (Ad boards, Product theaters, P2P programming, Ad Hoc consulting, etc.).
  • Participate in US and Global Congress activities.
  • Set up and participate in KOL engagements occurring at regional or national congresses.
  • Provide routine updates to management and cross-functional teammates of KOL management progress and insights.

Marketing Efforts

  • Provide insights for marketing strategy and commercial content development based upon feedback from KOL’s for current and future disease states for which PK activation is relevant.
  • Participate in select marketing initiatives aligned to interests and skills.
  • Provide input for speaker bureau strategy and planning.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of field sales, field marketing or Thought Leader Liaison experience, with field marketing/ Thought Leader Liaison experience preferred.
  • Rare Disease field-based experience required.
  • Documented track record of delivering consistent, exceptional levels of performance and leadership.
  • Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, self-starter, with experience effectively partnering with HCPs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large geography.
  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking and an ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of people and functions.
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage both at the strategic and tactical levels, including demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to establish a rapport quickly with others.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hematology experience strongly preferred, including history of building relationships with physicians referring, diagnosing and/or treating in this therapeutic area.
  • Able to travel 50-70% of time.

Work Location:

Location Specific – Field/Remote: This is a remote based field position. Employees in field roles must reside within their designated territory. Regular conversations with manager are encouraged to ensure alignment on in-person presence/expectations. Travel will be required commensurate to the above job description and/or to attend team meetings and other company events.
