AD, Data Governance Lead

Role: Lead enterprise Data Governance program at Novartis, establishing governance frameworks, operating models, and stakeholder engagement processes. Responsibilities include co-chairing the Executive Council, developing charters and controls, partnering with IT, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance to embed data controls, and creating scorecards and KPIs to track data quality, maturity, and compliance. Requirements: Bachelor's in Business, Data Management, or related field; 8+ years in Data or BI governance within regulated industries like pharma or biotech; proven experience leading cross-functional governance teams and influencing stakeholders without authority; deep knowledge of governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM), privacy laws, and governance tools (e.g., Collibra). Preferred skills include strong facilitation, stakeholder management, analytical rigor, and familiarity with data lifecycle, control design, and maturity assessments.
