Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000


The pay range for this position is expected to be between $130,000 - $150,000/annually; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. 

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. 

Scilex Holding Company’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Scilex Holding Company may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process general journal entries, accruals, account analysis, and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts
  • Manage the general ledger accounting activities, such as cash/investments, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll, and various expense accruals
  • Be part of a team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues
  • Assist with various aspects of external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and reviewing outstanding items lists
  • Partner cross-functionally with Account Payable (AP) to establish best practices, as well as assist with on-going process refinement to improve the efficiency and accuracy of General Ledger (GL) accounting and reporting
  • Assist in system implementation and enhancing accounting procedures to maintain and enhance the internal control environment over operational accounting processes and systems
  • Prepare 571L property tax filing and other compliance filings as needed
  • Support special ad hoc projects as needed
  • Assume new responsibilities and perform ad hoc requests
