The Account Supervisor serves as the primary liaison between the AbbVie Ad Agency and the brand teams, managing day-to-day agency relationships. Working with the agency’s creative staff and external resources/suppliers, the role provides strategic direction and counsel to help brand teams meet business objectives/sales goals.

Hybrid: commute to the Mettawa, IL office at least 3 days per week.

Knowledge / Skills
- Maintain knowledge of AbbVie guidelines (corporate branding, promotional materials development, PromoMats review, corporate compliance).
- Understand account product attributes (U.S. and Global), marketing objectives, target audience, competitive environment, market dynamics, and medical/regulatory/legal position.
- Understand Agency Workflow Process (project initiation/kickoff, collaboration, approvals, production, archiving).
- Creative thinking/problem solving; clear written and verbal communication.
- Leadership in conflict resolution.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, rapidly paced environment.

Project/Process Management
- Collaborate on creative briefs.
- Recommend key promotional tactics aligned to strategy and brand goals.
- Issue client contact reports.
- Review creative development from concept to completion (specs, expectations, budgets, timelines).
- Ensure timely, accurate communications; projects completed on time and within budget.
- Develop annual forecasts; conduct monthly financial reconciliations.
- Track time daily.

Accountability / Scope
- Reports to AbbVie Ad Agency Associate Director.
- Partners with creative team on project initiatives.
- Accountable for strategic direction, creative/tactical execution, guideline compliance, and budget; adherence to company-wide financial policies.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent related project/functional experience (desirable).
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred (U.S. and Global).
- In-house or agency experience a plus.
- Excellent communication (verbal, presentation, written).
- High-energy, positive, organized; comfortable in a high-visibility role.
- Ability to manage high-volume project scope in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Strong collaborator; balances big picture and details.
- Total account management experience: 10–15+ years.
