Responsibilities:
- Deliver on corporate objectives specific to territory.
- Develop and maintain effective customer relations with key contacts within assigned territory.
- Verbalize value proposition of Xeris products.
- Understand the patient journey and how Xeris products may impact patients.
- Overcome objections to educate clients on the value of assigned products.
- Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives.
- Grow and develop client relationships.
- Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files for proper territory management.
- Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems; perform other tasks assigned by manager.
- Create a face to internal and external customers that demonstrates Xeris’ commitment to bringing value and solutions to customers and patients served.
- Collaborate with peers, marketing, and training personnel to implement territory initiatives/strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships and regular communications and sales efforts with physicians and other health care providers.
- Prospect new businesses and generate leads on an ongoing basis.
- Professionally and ethically represent Xeris to external customers (including clinical and non-clinical support staff) and foster respect by demonstrating commitment to advancing patient care and outcomes.
- Leverage internal training and development to ensure field readiness.
- Prepare for and participate in business reviews to demonstrate progress on field readiness requirements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Business, or related field.
- Sales and/or customer support experience (ideal).
- Previous healthcare sales experience strongly preferred.
- Willing to transfer to a field sales position within the contiguous 48 states.
- Proficient with corporate productivity tools: Excel, Outlook, Word, and web presentation tools.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software preferred.
- Proven record of establishing goals and achieving results (sales and/or non-sales).
- Thrives in ambiguity; adapts quickly and asks questions to increase understanding.

Working Conditions:
- Periodic evening and weekend work as needed.
- Travel varies by territory; up to 20% minimum; in-person customer meetings as needed.
- On-site Monday–Friday during business hours at the Chicago office for assigned geography.

Compensation:
- Anticipated base salary range: $50,000–$55,000.
- Eligibility for commission and equity.
