Position Summary
- Utilize solution selling, territory management, and business planning to maximize sales performance in the assigned geography.
- Field-based role requiring travel and some evening work for educational programs.
- Candidate should live within the territory.
Position Responsibilities
Sales Performance
- Meet overall sales objectives (quota) and for key growth products via demand generation in targeted geography.
- Launch new products and service offerings; generate new equipment leads.
Selling Skills, Technical Knowledge, and Customer Value Delivery
- Consistently demonstrate solution selling.
- Build and demonstrate technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise.
- Build relationships with and service all targeted hospitals/personnel to maintain and grow relevance and access.
- Interact with customers following Zoetis promotional guidelines.
Territory Management and Teamwork
- Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan/Resource Allocation; implement Zoetis resources and follow up to maximize ROI.
- Meet field activity expectations (sales call activity) and invest in medical education programs.
- Develop and execute an account/veterinarian call-cycle to meet reach/frequency expectations.
- Work with Zoetis Petcare colleagues with integrity/compliance, strong work ethic, proper conduct/attire, effective communication, administrative responsibility, and teamwork.
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required.
- 3β10 years of consultative sales experience; proven ability to drive sales performance.
- Analytical skills and use of insights for decision-making; follow-through and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage assigned expense budgets.
- Animal health experience and small animal veterinary medicine knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively; self-starter; accepts and incorporates feedback.
Technical Skills Requirements
- Verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Good judgment and fair, thoughtful decisions.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn Zoetis systems.
Physical Position Requirements
