Specialty Account Manager, IgG4-RD

Responsibilities
- Represent Amgen products to physicians and healthcare professionals; establish product sales and perform total territory account management.
- Provide disease information and education to medical professionals and external customers involved in patient care.
- Consistently achieve assigned sales objectives by promoting patient-centered disease/product education to HCPs while adhering to corporate compliance guidelines.
- Implement marketing plan goals through execution of a strategic account business plan.
- Work effectively in a matrix environment (e.g., Case Managers, Medical Affairs, Patient access team).
- Use available resources (e.g., peer-to-peer education and cross-functional partners) to address identified knowledge gaps.
- Identify and pursue opportunities across healthcare settings (academic institutions, IDNs, ACOs, private practices, community hospitals).
- Build productive relationships with key local/regional/national KOLs in the coverage area and therapeutic areas.
- Maintain in-depth disease and therapeutic clinical/scientific knowledge.
- Use a consultative, highly technical, solution-oriented selling approach for IgG4-RD patients.
- Adhere to compliance and corporate policies, including documentation and reporting.

Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications (Level 4): Bachelor’s + 3 years sales OR Associate + 6 years sales OR HS/GED + 8 years sales (pharma/biotech/medical device or hospital sales).
- Basic Qualifications (Level 5): Doctorate + 2 years collective account/sales/commercial experience OR Master’s + 6 years OR Bachelor’s + 8 years OR Associate + 10 years.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- 7+ years biotech/specialty pharma/rare disease sales.
- 3+ years in rare disease/orphan drug (ultra-orphan; rare disease launch preferred); immunology/rheumatology preferred.
- 3+ years in office injection/infusion sales with patient access coordination.
- Matrix selling experience (patient services, market access, medical affairs, reimbursement) with patient centricity.
- Market development/deep profiling in rare unmet spaces; strong HCP education for complex diseases.
- Track record of exceptional performance; independent work in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; strong organizational/analytical/computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
- ~20–30% travel (including some overnight/weekend commitments).
