Role Summary
Account Manager, Respiratory LTC β Florida. Responsible for managing, developing, and growing the assigned territory in Floridaβs long-term care market, ensuring LTC residents have access to promoted products through compliant engagement with prescribers, pharmacists, and nursing facility decision makers and staff. Develops customer insights and relationships to increase awareness, access, and appropriate use of promoted products, and leads territory plans within budget and policy guidelines.
Responsibilities
- The Florida region includes the state of Florida.
- Manage, develop, and grow the assigned territory; ensure LTC residents have access to promoted products by addressing customer needs for product education and coverage requirements through compliant engagement with long-term care prescribers, pharmacists, and Nursing Facility decision makers and staff.
- Develop customer insights and critical relationships to increase awareness and appropriate use and access of promoted products; improve Viatris product availability to residents in LTC facilities.
- Build relationships with the LTC resident care team (PharmD, MD/NP/PA, LPN/RN) to meet their needs.
- Educate physicians, NP/PA, consultant pharmacists, and nursing facility staff on appropriate use of VIATRIS products.
- Develop strong relationships with LTC customers including key opinion leaders within the territory.
- Utilize techniques to gain consistent access to healthcare provider touchpoints.
- Demonstrate deep customer and practice knowledge.
- Use sales aids, clinical reprints, and company materials; tailor resources to customer needs.
- Identify and investigate customer concerns and coordinate with staff to resolve issues promptly.
- Provide guidance around acquisition of VIATRIS products to customers.
- Analyze and execute in the territory to optimize calls, reach, frequency, meals, speaker programs, etc., within budgets and policy guidelines.
- Prepare and submit timely reports of business transactions and maintain expense records.
- Analyze, evaluate, and adjust plans to develop effective quarterly business/action plans.
- Collaborate with management, region teammates, and cross-functional teams as needed.
- Attend LTC conferences, trainings, exhibits, meetings, and product launches as required.
- Take leadership opportunities as appropriate; maintain a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Remain compliant with all regulations in the course of responsibilities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or related healthcare sales. Life sciences emphasis preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical sales with a focus on long-term care preferred.
- Previous experience with territory business management, including budgeting and action planning, and executing sales implementation (routing, call activity, programming).
- Experience with successful pull-through of products with restricted coverage access.
- Ability to manage relationships with diverse customer types (nursing facilities staff, physicians, NP/PA, pharmacist staff, Medical Directors, Administrators, Directors of Nursing, and key opinion leaders).
- Advanced selling skills and effective communication with customers.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehension, reading, writing).
Education
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent); life sciences emphasis preferred.
