Role Summary

Account Manager - Hematology (San Diego Territory) responsible for promoting BeOne Hematology products, educating healthcare professionals, and executing territory sales activities to achieve sales objectives while ensuring compliance with drug laws and BeOne policies. Partners with Targeted Account Sales and Solid Tumor teams to coordinate efforts within the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes BeOne’s Hematology products through calls on targeted physicians in assigned territory to implement sales, marketing and patient support programs to get and keep indicated patients on BeOne Hematology products.
  • Trains and educates physician support staff on the proper use and handling of BeOne’s Hematology products.
  • Assures that healthcare professionals have realistic expectations concerning the use of BeOne’s Hematology products with their patients.
  • Maintains communication and integrates activities with BeOne’s Market Access Team as appropriate.
  • Identifies customer changes and ensures through coordinated communication and planning that appropriate people and resources are allocated to address the change.
  • Completes product knowledge coursework and LMS/Compliance Wire assignments.
  • Performs administrative functions including reporting call activity and customer information into the call reporting system and submitting expenses in a timely manner.
  • Assists in identifying and resolving issues and opportunities, and communicates proactively to marketing and sales management.
  • Supports compliance with BeOne policies and procedures (healthcare compliance, adverse event reporting, travel and expense reporting).

Qualifications

  • Required: B.A. / B.S.; previous pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
  • Preferred: 8+ years in pharmaceutical sales & sales management with significant Hematology experience.
  • Self-starting, self-managing independent work style.
  • Customer service oriented and results-driven with a strategic focus on sales.
  • Experience in specialty sales with understanding of reimbursement, distribution, and managed care processes; familiarity with national/corporate accounts, managed markets, hospital markets, IV medications, injectables, orals and Medicare Part D.
  • Ability to measure and analyze KPIs/ROI; CRM software experience.
  • Ability to develop new business and maintain resilience in challenges.

Skills

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, and in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (B.A./B.S.).

Additional Requirements

  • Travel: Up to 50-75% daily and overnight travel across a large geography.
