Account Executive
Position Summary:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase market share by identifying targeted commercial and/or government physician practices, hospitals, wound care clinics, medical centers, surgical centers, and related entities within the assigned territory.
- Promote and sell the companyβs products and tissues by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth and achieve defined sales performance goals for products and tissue offerings.
- Identify and execute market opportunities by implementing marketing strategies, developing effective sales plans, and achieving balanced revenue growth across all accounts using all sales channels in the assigned territory.
- Conduct large group and individual presentations to customers and prospects using company-approved materials.
- Research and resolve reimbursement issues within established policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the reimbursement team to support physicians and billing departments.
- Provide accurate, timely reporting and territory sales forecasts.
- Maintain awareness of industry updates and local market knowledge.
- Use scientific medical studies to educate customers and prospects.
- Define and establish territory plans to achieve current and long-term revenue and sales goals.
Education/Experience:
- BS/BA in a related discipline; 2β5 years related experience with 1β3 years progressive responsible positions, or verifiable ability.
- OR MS/MA with 1β3 years related experience; certification required in some areas.
- Prefer 3β4 years in medical device/biotechnology/tissue segments of healthcare; prior high-growth organization experience preferred.
Skills/Competencies:
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to interact with all levels and customers; influence others with tenacity/diplomacy.
- Organized, flexible, able to multitask with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving and strategic/technical analysis.
- Ability to analyze markets, plan sales strategies, and present clinical/scientific data to physicians.
- Proven sales results; strategic selling and market analytics.
- Ability to build a moderate-size network of healthcare provider relationships.
Work Environment:
- Customer/clinical sites and/or home office; travel regularly within the assigned territory.
Compensation:
- $84,000β$102,000 plus commissions (based on relevant experience, credentials, and location).
