Role Summary
Field-based Account Consultant, Interventional Glaucoma – Memphis, TN. Promote a product to meet/exceed sales goals in community/private practices as well as hospitals/health systems. Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and other hospital personnel, and collaborate with other Account Specialists to promote approved indications and trainings within hospital/health system accounts. Travel within territory and maintain required credentials to access facilities.
Responsibilities
- Promote a product to meet/exceed sales goals in community/private practices as well as hospitals/health systems.
- Identify/uncover customer needs (training, clinical, operational, reimbursement) and address with appropriate resources.
- Deliver expert anatomical/procedural information and training, including appropriate use of terminology to train injection paradigms/postures, highlighting anatomical and injection insights and considerations.
- Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and other key hospital personnel.
- Collaborate with other Account Specialists to promote the product for approved indications and execute trainings within hospital/health system accounts.
- Comply with all company policies, required reports, requests and promotional compliance and effectively manage field assets.
- Utilize sales and data resources to enhance productivity and growth of products while implementing the Marketing Plan.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field or relevant equivalent industry experience; or at least five (5) years of technical experience with three (3) or more years in sales; high school diploma/GED required if substituting experience.
- Required: Documented history of strong sales performance, preferably in a clinical/technical/consultative sales role with multiple decision makers.
- Preferred: Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products in health systems and private practice.
- Required: Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; ability to meet safe driving requirements.
- Required: Ability to manage a complex sale, quickly learn procedural/technical/clinical/anatomical information, and communicate/train to diverse audiences.
- Required: Ability to lift/pull 25–100 lb training models and meet hospital credentialing/vaccination requirements.
- Required: Ability to travel to cover territory, including overnight trainings and meetings.
- Required: Driving a personal auto or company vehicle; valid license with safe driving capability.
- Required: Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain entry into facilities in the assigned territory (background checks, drug screens, immunizations, fingerprinting, licenses as required).)
- Preferred: Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills with internal teams (Sales Management, Marketing, Training, etc.).
