Accessioning Technologist II

Role: Accessioning Technologist II responsible for sample receipt and data entry in a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory. Objectives include accurate specimen intake, verification, and proper documentation to support downstream processing. Responsibilities encompass receiving and verifying patient samples, performing data entry into the CRM system with specimen labeling, routing samples appropriately, maintaining specimen integrity, and ensuring regulatory compliance with CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, and state regulations. The role requires collaboration with client services and other departments, and may involve occasional off-hours work. Qualifications: High School diploma with 2-4 years of experience in logistics, science, or a regulated industry; or an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in biological or life sciences with 1+ years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include prior CLIA lab accessioning experience, familiarity with laboratory information management systems, and knowledge of anatomic pathology terminology. Skills in data entry, attention to detail, organizational ability, and communication are essential. The role is based in Morrisville, NC, with potential for occasional weekend or off-hours work. Compliance with safety and privacy regulations is mandatory. This position offers a salary range of $41,360 - $51,700, with potential bonuses and benefits.
