Position Summary:
Remote within assigned geography. Access & Reimbursement Manager (ARM) is a subject matter expert for FILSPARI (Sparsentan), providing education and case-specific support to internal/external stakeholders (HCPs and sales) and proactively managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as key contact for patient access and reimbursement in assigned geography.
- Lead FILSPARI onboarding expertise from Patient Start Form (PSF) through REMS enrollment to reimbursement.
- Educate offices on onboarding steps: PSF completion, REMS enrollment, prior authorization requirements/appeals, and reimbursement medical policy steps.
- Monitor cases through the onboarding process.
- Proactively resolve complex access/reimbursement issues by partnering with Hub, HCP offices, and field team; provide in-person/virtual education on escalated issues.
- Assist with missing/incorrect PSF/REMS information by coordinating with Hub and REMS Administrator partners.
- Resolve access issues (PAs, appeals, denials, letters of medical necessity, REMS) and educate to prevent future reimbursement hurdles.
- Partner with reimbursement stakeholders (specialty pharmacy, sales, HCP office, REMS administrator) to communicate challenges, identify solutions, and move patients through reimbursement.
- Provide regular case status updates; log calls/notes daily in standardized platform.
- Lead weekly case status update meetings with sales.
- Coordinate with Hub, specialty pharmacies, and REMS administrator to move cases efficiently.
- Operate in HIPAA compliance within program guidelines.
- Identify reimbursement access trends; create quarterly business plans; educate internal/external stakeholders on payer changes.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required (or equivalent education/experience).
- 5+ years in pharmaceutical/health industry working with Hubs, payers, and/or HCPs.
- 3+ years reimbursement/access/case management experience.
- Specialty pharmaceutical, nephrology, rare disease, REMS experience preferred.

Additional Skills/Experience (Required/Preferred):
- Manage access complexities for new-to-market medication.
- Account management and complex payer/government payer (e.g., VA) experience preferred/desired.
- Specialty pharmacy/buy-and-bill experience preferred.
- Strong relationships with HCPs, office staff, sales, and Hub counterparts.
- Knowledge of commercial and government reimbursement (e.g., Medicare Part D, VA).
- Experience educating on reimbursement processes (benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, denials, letters of medical necessity, pre-determination).
- Computer skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to resolve issues and educate virtually.
- Strong organization, multitasking, collaboration, attention to detail, and written/verbal communication.
- Field-based: live in territory or immediate adjacency; travel up to 35%.
- Ability to perform face-to-face work and meet credentialing requirements; onsite work in San Diego as needed.

Compensation:
- Target base pay range: $162,000.00–$211,000.00 (plus incentives/stock per company compensation structure).
