Position Summary:
- Access & Reimbursement Manager (ARM) is a subject matter expert on access and reimbursement for FILSPARI (Sparsentan), working remotely within assigned geography to provide education and case-specific support to internal and external stakeholders, including HCPs and sales.
Responsibilities:
- Key contact for patient access and reimbursement in assigned geography.
- Lead FILSPARI onboarding expertise from Patient Start Form (PSF) submission through REMS enrollment to reimbursement.
- Educate providers and practices on PSF completion, REMS enrollment, prior authorization/appeal requirements, and steps to obtain reimbursement.
- Monitor and advance cases through onboarding.
- Escalate and resolve complex access issues by partnering with Hub, HCP offices, specialty pharmacy, and field team; educate physicians on escalated reimbursement issues (in-person/virtual).
- Assist with missing PSF/REMS information; coordinate with Hub/REMS partners to explain missing items.
- Resolve access issues including prior authorization, appeals, denials, letters of medical necessity, and REMS; prevent future reimbursement hurdles.
- Provide regular case status updates to sales; log calls/notes in a standardized platform daily; lead weekly case status meetings.
- Coordinate with Hub, specialty pharmacies, and REMS administrator stakeholders to move cases efficiently.
- Identify regional reimbursement trends and create quarterly business plans; educate internal (sales) and external (HCPs) on payer changes.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in related field required (or equivalent education/experience).
- 5+ years in pharmaceutical/health industry with Hubs, payers, HCPs, or related areas.
- 3+ years reimbursement/access/case management experience.
- Specialty pharmaceutical, nephrology, rare disease, and REMS experience preferred.
Skills/Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated relationship-building with HCPs, office staff, sales, and Hub counterparts.
- Strong understanding of private/commercial reimbursement and government payers (e.g., Medicare Part D, VA).
- Ability to educate on benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, denials, letters of medical necessity, and pre-determination.
- Computer skills (basic Excel/PowerPoint).
- Ability to resolve issues and educate virtually; strong organization, multitasking, collaboration, attention to detail; excellent verbal/written communication.
- Field-based role: must live in territory or immediate adjacency; travel up to 35%.
