Position Summary:
- Access & Reimbursement Manager (ARM) is a subject matter expert for FILSPARI (Sparsentan), working remotely within the assigned geography to provide education and case-specific support to internal and external stakeholders (including HCPs and sales).
Responsibilities:
- Serve as key contact for patient access and reimbursement in assigned geography.
- Drive FILSPARI onboarding expertise from Patient Start Form (PSF) submission through REMS enrollment to reimbursement.
- Walk offices through onboarding; educate physicians/practices on PSF completion, REMS enrollment, prior authorization/appeals, and steps to obtain reimbursement.
- Monitor cases through onboarding progression.
- Provide escalated support for complex access/reimbursement issues; educate physicians virtually or in-person.
- Resolve missing PSF/REMS information by coordinating with Hub and REMS Administrator partners.
- Help resolve access issues (prior authorization, appeals, denials, letters of medical necessity, REMS) and prevent future hurdles.
- Partner with reimbursement stakeholders (specialty pharmacy, sales, HCP office, REMS administrator) to move patients through reimbursement.
- Maintain daily call logs/notes in standardized platform; lead weekly case status update meetings.
- Identify reimbursement/access trends; build quarterly business plan and educate internal/external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required (or equivalent education and experience).
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/health industry experience with Hubs, payers, HCPs, or related.
- 3+ years reimbursement/access/case management experience.
- Specialty pharmaceutical, nephrology, rare disease, and REMS experience preferred.
Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of private/commercial and government payer reimbursement (Medicare Part D, VA, etc.).
- Ability to educate on benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, denials, letters of medical necessity, and pre-determination.
- Account management and complex payer experience preferred.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, organization, multitasking; basic Excel/PowerPoint.
- Field-based; must live in territory or immediate adjacency; travel up to 35%; HIPAA-compliant.
