Position Summary:
- Lead and coach a team of Access & Reimbursement Managers (ARMs) for nephrology access and fulfillment activities; execute patient access field reimbursement strategy and ensure providers/patients/caregivers have tools/resources to start and stay on therapy.
- Foster compliant cross-functional communications (Patient Experience, Specialty Pharmacy, Market Access, Field Sales).

Responsibilities:
- Hire, mentor, develop, and lead the local field access/reimbursement team.
- Use KPIs/analytics to optimize field execution; build regional business plans and pull-through metrics.
- Drive expediting of patient access; provide training/oversight to maintain regulatory and internal policy compliance.
- Create pull-through vision/culture; manage performance and coaching.
- Be expert in access/reimbursement (pharmacy benefit, specialty pharmacy, REMS) and train on coverage/criteria changes.
- Collaborate with field sales/leadership; establish cadence with hub services/REMS/specialty pharmacy/payer account team.
- Analyze regional performance and address capability gaps.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (related field) required.
- 10 years pharma/biotech or related (specialty pharmaceutical, nephrology, rare disease, REMS preferred).
- 5+ years specialty medicines access & reimbursement (HUBs, payers, specialty pharmacies).
- 3+ years field reimbursement manager.
- 3+ years first-line team leader (coaching/people development).

Skills (required/preferred):
- Deep knowledge of commercial and government reimbursement (e.g., Medicare Part D, VA).
- Experience with benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, denials, letters of medical necessity, pre-determination.
- Proven relationships with HCPs/office staff/sales/hub counterparts; strong communication and project planning.
- Field-based; live within region/adjacent with major airport; valid driver’s license; travel up to 50%.

- Target base pay range: $189,000–$246,000.
