Position Summary: Leads and coaches a team of Access & Reimbursement Managers (ARMs) for nephrology provider accounts, executing the patient access/field reimbursement strategy to ensure providers, patients, and caregivers can start and stay on therapy. Fosters compliant communications across Patient Experience, Specialty Pharmacy, Market Access, and Field Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Hire, mentor, develop, and lead the field access & reimbursement team.
- Use KPIs/analytics to optimize field execution; develop long/short-term strategy and ensure execution.
- Manage training/oversight to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Coach for maximum patient access and expediting.
- Build regional business plan to improve initiation and pull-through metrics.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration and cadence with ARMs, hub services, REMS, specialty pharmacy, and payer team.
- Support field/virtual issue resolution and provide direction/feedback.
- Analyze performance gaps and address capability needs.
Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree (related field).
- 10+ years pharma/biotech (specialty and nephrology/rare disease/REMS preferred).
- 5+ years specialty medicines access & reimbursement (HUBs, payers, specialty pharmacies).
- 3+ years field reimbursement manager.
- 3+ years first-line team leader with people/capability development.
Skills/Experience (Preferred/Additional):
- Reimbursement expertise (benefit verification, prior auth, appeals, denials, LOMN, pre-determination).
- Relationship-building with HCPs, office staff, sales, and hub counterparts.
- Cross-functional training/operations/payer project experience; new-to-market access complexity.
- Field-based role; live near region/major airport; travel up to 50%; valid driver’s license and vehicle.

- Target base pay: $189,000.00–$246,000.00 (cash + short/long-term incentives).
