Packaging Specialist (3rd shift)
Position Responsibilities (What You Can Expect)
- Follow written instructions in Standard Operating Procedures, manufacturing orders, cleaning checklists, and other controlled documents in accordance with cGMP regulations.
- Physically move bulk materials using pallet jacks; basic material handling and departmental utility tasks may be assigned.
- Operate computer-controlled equipment using a screen-based Operator Interface Terminal (OIT).
- Execute in-process attribute testing and visual inspections.
- Evaluate test results against prescribed parameters to confirm product is within specification.
- Accurately and contemporaneously document GMP data on equipment logs, batch records, and cleaning checklists.
- Execute equipment and line cleaning tasks using manual/automated processes and prescribed cleaning checklists.
- Perform minor equipment servicing including disassembly, reassembly, and setup.
Experience Required (All training provided by the company)
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Basic math and English communication skills; legible penmanship; strong reading comprehension.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Availability to work 40 hours/week and overtime when necessary; available for training on various shifts.
- Vision/hearing and ability to read/write and interpret information; basic math and reading/writing in English.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.
- PPE will be provided if required (eye/hearing protection, half-face and/or PAPRs, protective clothing, fall restraint harnesses).
Preferred
- Excellent attendance record and work history.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- 6 months–1 year direct manufacturing experience; 1–2 years general manufacturing; 3–4 years non-manufacturing.
