3rd Shift Lead Compounder

Role Summary

Lead Compounder position at the Perrigo facility in Bronx, NY. The role involves leading batch compounding operations, directing operators, and ensuring adherence to master formulas and SOPs. This is a union position with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour and a 4x10 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Compound batches from the master formula and supervise operators; weigh raw materials, monitor batch procedures, set up equipment, operate kettles and pumps, move materials to and from the compounding area, and sign batch records and log entries.
• Follow written instructions and all SOPs for manufacturing/compounding.
• Complete set-ups of equipment to be used for manufacturing; clean equipment, containers, and area as needed.
• Cooperate with QA inspectors; follow appropriate cleaning procedures.
• Maintain operating schedule and daily professional relations with division employees, managers, and supervisors.
• Follow all safety rules and company policies and procedures; ensure water requirements are obtained as needed.
• Monitor batches as they are processed and ensure they are properly manufactured.
• Review activity of compounders and setup operators to ensure work is properly completed; complete sign-offs as required by SOPs.

Qualifications

• Required: Must be able to read English and sign batch records and log entries after each step as required.
• Preferred: One year of compounding experience.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to lift materials/equipment weighing between 25 – 50 lbs.
• Must be able to wear full/half face respirator.
