Description Overview:
- Entry level Packaging positions (off-shift opportunities on 2nd or 3rd shift)
- Shifts discussed during a phone interview with Talent Acquisition
Position Responsibilities:
- Follow written instructions in Standard Operating Procedures, manufacturing orders, cleaning checklists, and other controlled documents in accordance with cGMP regulations.
- Physically move bulk materials using pallet jacks; may include basic material handling and departmental utility tasks.
- Operate computer-controlled equipment using a screen-based Operator Interface Terminal (OIT).
- Perform in-process attribute testing and visual inspections.
- Evaluate test results against prescribed parameters to determine if product is within specification.
- Accurately, repeatedly, and contemporaneously document GMP data on equipment logs, batch records, and cleaning checklists.
- Execute equipment and line cleaning tasks using manual and automated processes and prescribed cleaning checklists.
- Perform minor equipment servicing including disassembly, reassembly, and set-up.
Experience Required / Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma (or G.E.D.).
- Basic math and English communication skills; legible penmanship; strong reading comprehension.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Ability to work 40 hours/week and be available for overtime when necessary.
- Available for training on various shifts.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to stand ~85% of the shift.
- PPE provided if required (eye protection, hearing protection, half-face and/or Powered Air Purifying Respirators, protective clothing, fall restraint harnesses).
Preferred:
- Excellent attendance record and work history.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
Additional Requirements / Skills:
- Consistently/Frequently: vision and hearing; ability to read/write and interpret information in English; basic math.
- Physical requirements include standing/walking; lifting up to 50 lbs; climbing ladders; stoop/bend; squat; kneeling; twisting; grasping; moving items/boxes; and hand/finger use.
- Environmental: exposure to loud noises/machinery and exposure to chemicals.
