Description Overview
- Entry level Packaging positions (off shift) on 2nd or 3rd shift.
Position Responsibilities
- Follow written instructions in Standard Operating Procedures, manufacturing orders, cleaning checklists, and other controlled documents in accordance with cGMP regulations.
- Physically move bulk materials using pallet jacks; may include basic material handling and departmental utility tasks.
- Operate computer-controlled equipment using a screen-based Operator Interface Terminal (OIT).
- Perform in-process attribute testing and visual inspections.
- Evaluate test results against prescribed parameters to determine if product is within specification.
- Accurately, repeatedly, and contemporaneously document GMP data on equipment logs, batch records, and cleaning checklists.
- Execute equipment and line cleaning tasks using manual and automated processes and prescribed cleaning checklists.
- Perform minor equipment servicing, including disassembly, reassembly, and set-up.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma (or G.E.D.).
- Basic math and English communication skills; legible penmanship; strong reading comprehension.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week; available for overtime when necessary.
- Available for training on various shifts.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to stand for approximately 85% of shift.
- PPE provided if required (eye/hearing protection, half-face and/or Powered Air Purifying Respirators, protective clothing, fall restraint harnesses).
Preferred
- Excellent attendance record and work history.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
Skills/Abilities (Other Qualities)
- Ability to see/hear; read and write; interpret information; perform basic math; read and write in English.
Physical Requirements
- Consistently/Frequently: stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, stoop/bend, squat, kneel, twist, grasp, move items/boxes, use hands/fingers.
- Occasionally: sit; lift 50 lbs; pull/push with skid jacks (880 lbs); reach and reach above shoulders/head.
- Rarely: lift above shoulders/head (25 lbs).
