Description Overview:
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical aspects of manufacturing and packaging equipment and facilities per standard operating procedures.
- Complete work orders for skilled maintenance activities, including maintenance, repair, improvements, set-ups, troubleshooting, follow-up, Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Maintenance, and reporting to supervisor on packaging and compounding equipment.
- Handle special assignments/projects, work rotational schedules as needed, and work overtime with or without notice.
- Perform tasks under little to general supervision using initiative and independent judgment.
Scope of the Role:
- Complete daily Maintenance Tracker and inform Master Mechanic/supervisor during area walk-throughs.
- Perform preventive maintenance for packaging, compounding, and warehouse equipment.
- Perform packaging and compounding equipment repairs (MTCE).
- Train production personnel on proper equipment use.
- Set up, fine-tune, and troubleshoot equipment using Root Cause Analysis methods.
Experience Required:
- 5 years hands-on mechanical experience with packaging equipment in pharmaceutical, food, packaging, or similar manufacturing.
- OR: Successful completion of an accredited mechanical engineering/design/troubleshooting certification.
- OR: 3 years as a Perrigo Set Up Tech plus 2+ years completed education and active enrollment in a Mechanical/Industrial/Production/Electromechanical Engineering program (accredited).
