Role: Optical & Vision Science Engineering Intern, supporting research projects in ophthalmic optics, wavefront sensing, and visual performance. Objectives include evaluating hazard detection in intraocular lenses, studying contrast sensitivity relationships, designing laboratory studies with advanced optometric tools, and supporting metrology and imaging techniques. Responsibilities involve conducting experiments, instrument design, image processing, and data analysis. Requirements: enrolled in an accredited university for at least one semester prior and after the internship; pursuing a bachelor’s in optics, vision science, physics, or related fields; minimum GPA of 2.8/4.0; demonstrated leadership; eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; able to commit to a 10-12 week full-time summer program. Preferred: prior research experience and coursework in optical engineering or related disciplines.
