Role: Six-month co-op in retinal and vascular biology research within a biopharma company's R&D division, focusing on vascular integrity and retinal disease. Responsibilities: perform in vitro assays on endothelial barrier function, culture retinal and vascular cell models, analyze compound effects, interpret and present data, contribute to assay optimization, participate in scientific discussions, and maintain accurate records. Requirements: enrolled in a Master’s or Ph.D. program in relevant biomedical fields; experience in cell culture, molecular biology, and in vitro assay execution; strong organizational and data analysis skills; motivation and curiosity. Preferred: familiarity with retinal, vascular biology, inflammation, or drug discovery research; skills in data visualization. High-Value: early-career laboratory research with a focus on vascular biology and retinal models, contributing to therapeutic target discovery in eye diseases. Work setup: internship position with no travel or relocation, based in Cambridge, MA, with collaborative engagement across locations.
