Role: Support strategic procurement initiatives within Merck's Global Support Division through market analysis, supplier evaluation, cost modeling, and risk assessments. Responsibilities include conducting market intelligence, executing RFIs and RFPs, analyzing supplier performance and financial data, and assisting in negotiation planning and compliance with policies. The position emphasizes data-driven analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and supporting cost reduction and supply chain optimization. Requirements: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or MBA program in business, supply chain, engineering, or related fields; strong analytical, communication, and project management skills; proficient in Microsoft Office; academic excellence. Preferred: GPA 3.0 or higher, prior industry internships (preferably pharma or Fortune 500), experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik), and collaboration platforms (SharePoint, MS Teams). The co-op is a 5-6 month hybrid internship, with no travel or relocation required, aimed at developing skills in strategic sourcing, supply chain analysis, and stakeholder engagement with a focus on supporting manufacturing and supply chain operations.
