Role: Participate as a Co-Op within the Manufacturing Division supporting biopharmaceutical and vaccine production at the Elkton, VA site. Primary objectives include supporting operational and technical aspects of sterile manufacturing processes, troubleshooting, data analysis, and process improvement projects. Responsibilities encompass providing on-the-floor support, collaborating on multidisciplinary teams, conducting investigations, updating procedures, and driving efficiency and compliance enhancements. Requirements: Currently enrolled in a sophomore or junior undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Biotechnology; available for a minimum 6-month Co-Op starting May/June 2027; onsite work; demonstrated technical competency via academic record; strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Preferred: Laboratory or industrial experience, familiarity with cGMP, Lean/Six Sigma tools, and multitasking leadership; GPA β‰₯ 3.20. High-Value: Focus on biologics/vaccines manufacturing, process support, continuous improvement, and technical investigations within a regulated cGMP environment. Work setup is onsite with approximately 10% travel, shift is day-based.
