Role Summary
2026 Technical Operations Intern - Drug Product Pilot Plant
Responsibilities
Develop tablet coating process recipes for varying batch and tablet sizes on facility coating equipment
Lead a capital project to upgrade plant manufacturing and/or testing equipment
Commission and qualify newly purchased equipment for GMP manufacturing
Lead an effort to focus on sustainability in the pilot plant with projects such as energy assessments for purified water generation technologies or facility air handling units
Create a plan for managing and organizing manufacturing equipment change parts
Assist with investigating and troubleshooting equipment and facility issues; recommend and implement solutions
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other related field
Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship
Expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027
Good verbal and written communication skills. Good computer knowledge and good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel
Ability to take initiative to handle small to medium complexity projects autonomously

Exposure to process engineering, industrial sustainability, process/system controls, physics, unit operations, manufacturing, mechanics
