Role Summary

2026 Summer Internship Program: US Medical Affairs Oncology โ€šร„รฌ Medical Excellence Intern

Responsibilities

  • Organizational Insight: Evaluate USMAOโ€šร„รดs structure, workflows, and resource allocation; propose alternatives for improved efficiency.
  • Comparative Analysis: Assess alternative organizational models under different resource scenarios.
  • Competency Alignment: Identify skill gaps against the Field Competency Model and prioritize development needs.
  • Capability Building: Support creation of training resources, playbooks, and frameworks to address gaps.
  • Tool Optimization: Evaluate adoption of USMAO tools and recommend improvements for consistency and usability.
  • Stakeholder Integration: Incorporate HCP feedback into training and development planning.
  • Impact Measurement: Contribute to defining metrics that demonstrate USMAO value and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • This position will be hybrid role out of the Cambridge, MA location.
  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MPH, MBA, or related field).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Interest in organizational strategy, medical affairs, or healthcare operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Education

  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MPH, MBA, or related field).

Additional Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later.
  • The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates.
  • The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames and work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates.
  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program.
