Role Summary

2026 Summer Intern PhD Student - Drug Product Development Formulation. Summer interns will work with mentors for ~10 weeks on a guided research project within a DPD Project Team, gaining industry and functional experience, and meeting diverse company representatives. Position is in New Brunswick, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a guided research project within a DPD Project Team for ~10 weeks
  • Participate in an orientation and trainings related to pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and testing laboratories
  • Contribute to hands-on activities in pharmaceutical manufacturing process areas
  • Deliver a formal presentation at the end of the internship
  • Engage with a mentor program and receive formal feedback sessions

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university program pursuing a PhD in biochemistry, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related fields
  • Expected to graduate between Fall 2026 and end of 2027
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater required on resume
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Ability to solve problems independently with minimal supervision
  • Research experience in continuous manufacturing and general drug product manufacturing processes preferred
  • Authorized to work in the US for duration of employment; visa sponsorship not available
