Role Summary

As a Project & Change Management Intern, you will support transformative change and impactful communications within Strategic Operations and across Clinical Sciences. You will work with leaders to execute and optimize high-value projects and business initiatives. You will collaborate on communications and change management strategies, drive project workstreams, develop stakeholder messaging, and manage project deliverables to achieve strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project managers, change management, and communications team members, as well as subject matter experts, to execute cross-functional projects
  • Lead and participate in project team meetings; advise on solutions to business, technical and operational challenges
  • Produce project status reports and other deliverables, monitoring progress and maintaining adherence to best practices
  • Support the management of project artifacts, timelines, and strategic solutions to improve business performance
  • Develop, integrate, and deliver communication plans to support change initiatives across multiple business functions and audiences
  • Design, align, coordinate, and implement change management strategies for Clinical Sciences projects
  • Conduct impact analyses, cultural readiness and organizational alignment assessments, and stakeholder management for strategic initiatives, ensuring tactics support AbbVie's objectives and values

Qualifications

  • Required: Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Master’s degree in Business, Communications, Life Sciences, or other related field.
  • Required: Exposure to business, communications, journalism, life sciences, or project management curriculum
  • Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Required: Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Required: Demonstrated business acumen and ability to work collaboratively in a global environment
  • Required: Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship
  • Required: Expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027
  • Preferred: 1 to 2 years of experience in communications, change management, project management, or related function
  • Preferred: Experience with strategic communications, stakeholder analysis, and organizational alignment
  • Preferred: Familiarity with emerging communications trends and relevant technologies
  • Preferred: Project management experience or relevant coursework
