Role Summary
As an AbbVie Packaging Engineering Co-Op, you’ll participate in a paid, six-month program working on meaningful assignments that have a real impact on our business and patients worldwide. AbbVie’s Global Packaging organization offers you an opportunity to work in a variety of packaging formats and materials. Throughout the duration, there will be developmental and networking activities, along with housing and shuttle services for eligible students. Co-ops will be expected to work from our North Chicago campus, at least three days per week, in accordance with company policy.
Responsibilities
- Packaging development and testing for new projects
- Test protocol and test execution
- Material identification, selection, and specifications
- Data mining for standardization opportunities
- Sustainability and packaging improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Packaging or related field
- Must be returning to university the semester following your Co-Op
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 - June 2028
Qualifications
- Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and project management skills
- Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong academic performance, GPA 3.0/4.0
