Role Summary

Operations Development Program (ODP) is a global full-time three-year rotational leadership development program designed to accelerate engineers and scientists into future operations leadership opportunities at AbbVie. Members complete three diverse twelve-month rotations, working on a wide range of projects and gaining exposure to different leaders within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in three 12-month rotations across potential opportunities such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development, Science & Technology, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
  • Move between at least two AbbVie locations during the program and adapt to varying site needs.
  • Engage in projects that develop functional and leadership skills and contribute to ongoing operations initiatives.
  • Travel as part of the rotational assignments may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Currently enrolled in university and completing final year of studies in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Completion of bachelor’s degree prior to the intended full-time start date.
    • Minimum of one internship or co-op completed.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills (e.g., extracurricular activities or projects).
    • Mobility is required; will rotate to different sites and be assigned to at least one U.S. Operations Plant.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills.
    • Proven teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity.
