Role Summary

2026 Intern, Drug Product Supply Risk Management. Summer internship with Moderna Global Drug Product Operations from June to August 2026. Start date June 1, 2026. Design and pilot a standardized Supply Risk Management framework for Drug Product Operations across internal sites and CMOs to identify, assess, mitigate, and govern risks affecting delivery of mRNA medicines. Cross-functional experience within enterprise-level processes and Modernaโ€šร„รดs manufacturing network, performance management, continuous improvement, and PMO governance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and pilot a cross-functional Supply Risk Management Framework for Global DP Operations, including risk categories, risk evaluation criteria, scoring methods, and governance mechanisms.
  • Develop a Risk Register template with Site/CMO-level and consolidated network views.
  • Conduct the first network-wide risk assessment, piloted across selected sites and CMOs.
  • Collaborate with Operations Leaders and cross-functional team members to build a Mitigation Action Plan with owners, timelines, due dates, and expected impact.
  • Create a Governance Framework (dashboard, heat map, cadence of reviews, escalation path) to oversee mitigation actions and monitor risks.
  • Ensure the framework integrates with Quality Management Review, Supply Chain Management processes, CMC Business Continuity, HS&E policies, Procurement standards, and CMO Management.
  • Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and the Global DP Operations Leadership Team.

Qualifications

  • GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent with a degree focus in Operations, Supply Chain, Strategy, or related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and collaborate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must hold work authorization in the US without future sponsorship; no immigration sponsorship available for this role.
  • Site-based position requiring full-time presence at Modernaโ€šร„รดs site; remote work not available.
