Role Summary

2026 Intern, Biostatistics and Programming. An opportunity for a student to learn about the biotech industry from a hands-on perspective, working with senior-level statisticians in the clinical development group on data wrangling, analyses, and visualization across R&D programs leveraging mRNA science.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with scientists and statistical programmers to solve data-related problems in clinical studies and harmonize data using clinical data standards.
  • Build tools and pipelines to drive data-driven solutions for scientists and statisticians.
  • Apply state-of-the-art statistical thinking and methods to develop and visualize suit-for-purpose statistical approaches that support clinical development programs.

Qualifications

  • PhD student or Masterโ€šร„รดs student in statistics, biostatistics, computational biology, statistical genetics, data science, or related disciplines.
  • Strong statistical knowledge and quantitative skills with ability to apply to scientific and clinical problems.
  • Experience in R, AWS/GCP, and at least one programming language (e.g., Python or Perl).
  • Experience handling high-dimensional data and creating visualization apps.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work authorization in the US without the need for future sponsorship; no immigration sponsorship available for this role.
