Responsibilities:
- Apply technical knowledge, data analysis, and troubleshooting skills to support pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and facilities in a team environment.
- Use strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Develop leadership skills in diverse team building, vendor management, and process equipment development/design.
- Function as a Process Engineer supporting a Biologics/Vaccine Project in Animal Health.
- Use an equipment life cycle approach (specification, selection, testing & commissioning, troubleshooting, and qualification).
- Perform analytical and problem solving work.
- Manage projects/time to deliver on time and with quality.
- Travel domestically (main base: DeSoto, Kansas).

Qualifications / Education:
- Targeted for Junior or Senior students at an accredited college/university.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical) or equivalent; no prior experience required.

Preferred Skills / Experience:
- Interface with IPT members for Capital Project Delivery.
- Assess multiple options and select an approach.
- Core knowledge: specification of unit operations, P&ID development, Hazard Analysis, equipment operation, commissioning & qualification.
- Work within cost/schedule constraints.
- Knowledge of best practices/industry trends; may participate in professional/technical organizations.
- Ensure deliverables conform to standards and are technically sound.
- Support technology transfers of new and in-line products.
- Collaborate with contractors/suppliers; strong written/oral communication and problem-solving; desire to be innovative.
- Prior experience with capital equipment specification and installation.
- Prior intern/co-op experience in manufacturing/engineering (preferably pharmaceutical).

Salary Range:
- $39,600.00–$105,500.00 USD.
