Role Summary
2026 Co-Op, Clinical Biomarkers, Oncology. Moderna is seeking talented Co-ops to join the Clinical Assays, Supplies, and Logistics (CASL) group for the Spring semester. The Co-op works with stakeholders across biomarkers, clinical trial operations, digital, and cross-functional teams to drive biomarker strategy optimization through state-of-the-art bioanalytical methods and assay development.
Responsibilities
- Work with Clinical Biomarker Lead, Biomarker Operations, Program Specialist, and team on a research project related to bioassay development and/or implementation in clinical trials.
- Help implement solutions/systems to improve efficiency with internal and external processes and partnerships through interactions with vendors and contract research organizations.
- Present the research outcome at the end of the program to a diverse team.
Qualifications
- Must be a student in a graduate program (Masterβs or Ph.D.), or equivalent degree. Relevant experience can substitute for advanced degree programs.
- Major must be in science field (Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, etc.) or other related laboratory-based science. Completed foundational biology courses such as cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or laboratory techniques in biology.
- Project management experience preferred, but not required.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Candidates with prior experience in clinical settings and/or laboratory bioassays (e.g., ELISA/MSD, qPCR, NGS, Flow Cytometry, IHC/IF, etc.) strongly encouraged to apply.
- Must hold work authorization in the US and be able to maintain status without future sponsorship.
