Role Summary
2026 Clinical Pharmacology Intern (PhD) at AbbVie. Internship provides exposure to clinical pharmacology activities across immunology, oncology, neurology, and specialty assets, with opportunities to develop and apply PK/PD models, conduct simulations, and contribute to regulatory submissions.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of literature and in-house proprietary data
- Dose- and exposure-related safety & efficacy endpoint analysis
- Database analyses
- Development of mathematical models (e.g., PK/PD, population PK)
- Conducting simulations using mathematical models
- Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD)
- Clinical study design
- Presentation to broader team at the conclusion of the assignment
- Publication of authorized analyses
Qualifications
- Required: Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a PharmD or PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology or other related field
- Required: Must be returning to university for at least one semester following the internship
Preferred Qualifications
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027
