2026 Business Technology Solutions Extern

Role Summary

The AbbVie EXCEL Externship is a two-day immersive experience for sophomore students interested in future internships with AbbVie. Students will join us at AbbVie's Headquarters in Lake County, IL during the Summer of 2026 to:

• Get immersed in AbbVie’s culture
• Gain hands-on experience in a variety of key business areas
• Build an extended network of AbbVie representatives, senior leaders, and students from across the country
• Participate in cross-functional professional development opportunities
• Learn more about AbbVie’s career opportunities
• Be considered for an internship for the following summer

Responsibilities

• Travel, transportation, and lodging will be provided for eligible students.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between Dec 2027 - June 2028. Majoring in or strong interest in exploring opportunities in: Computer Science, Data Science (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning), Automation, Computer Engineering
• Preferred Qualifications: Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities; Previous internship or related experience; Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity; Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills; Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher preferred
